Fleeing Suspect Crashes Into Cluster

A high-speed chase through the streets of FORT SMITH, AR ended TUESDAY morning when the fleeing suspect crashed his car into the FORT SMITH RADIO GROUP sales building on GREENWOOD AVENUE. A police officer spotted a motorist who was wanted on outstanding felony warrants, and when he attempted to pull him over, the suspect fled.

Morning host SCOTT FALDON told KSFM-TV, “Someone came back and interrupted our show and said there was a wreck in the parking lot and my first thought was, 'My Jeep's in the parking lot,' so I threw down the headphones and came outside. He climbed out of a window and ran around the building, over a fence, and officers caught up with him on the other side and arrested him." There were no injuries reported.
