Charlotte-Gastonia-Rock Hill April 2011: KAT Kickin’ The Hornets’ Nest

CLEAR CHANNEL Country WKKT (THE KAT) was #1 P6+ in CHARLOTTE-GASTONIA-ROCK HILL for the second month in a row in APRIL (8.2-9.0), ahead of #2 CBS RADIO Country WSOC (8.0-7.9). CLEAR CHANNEL Classic Rocker WRFX was #3 (6.1-6.8).

APRIL was the third month in a row of share growth for THE KAT in upper demos (see Snapshot Trends below), extending the gap between it and WSOC. THE KAT was #1 P18-49 and P25-54, and rose from #3 to #2 P35-64.

P6+: CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40/Mainstream WIBT, 24% / #12t to #9

P18-34: CBS Urban AC WBAV (V101.9), 57% / #7t to #5

P18-49: V101.9 and WRFX, 23% / #5 to #4, #6 to #5

P25-54: WIBT, 25% / #13t to #10

P35-64: PACIFIC BROADCASTING Classic Hits WXRC (95.7 THE RIDE), 18% / #8 to #6

Orlando April 2011: Z88.3 Gets Biggest Number Yet

CENTRAL FLORIDA EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION Christian AC WPOZ (Z88.3) was #1 P6+ in ORLANDO in APRIL with 8.6, the biggest share it has scored since PPM’s arrival in the market in JULY. Only CLEAR CHANNEL AC WMGF (MAGIC 107) has posted a bigger P6+ PPM share in any month in ORLANDO, with 10.6 during the HOLIDAY 2010 period. CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WXXL (XL106.7) was #2 in APRIL (7.1), and COX RADIO Top 40/Rhythmic WPYO (POWER 95) was #3 (6.7).

Though Z88.3 had a big month with share percentage growth of 25%+ in most of their key demos, MAGIC 107 appears to have had the bigger month (see Top Demo Gainers below). MAGIC added even more share percentage while closing the gap on CBS RADIO Hot AC WOMX (MIX 105.4) and COX Adult Hits WMMO, both of which were down.

Hartford-New Britain-Middletown April 2011: COUNTRY 92-5 Rides High In Hartford

Even though CBS RADIO AC WRCH (LITE 100.5) was the P6+ winner in HARTFORD-NEW BRITAIN-MIDDLETOWN in APRIL (11.5), #2 CLEAR CHANNEL Country WWYZ (COUNTRY 92-5) (10.4) took more hardware with significant leaps to #1 positions P18-49, P25-54, and P35-64. CBS RADIO Talk WTIC-A was #3 P6+ with 7.4.

CBS RADIO Top 40/Rhythmic WZMX was the P18-34 winner, while CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WKSS (KISS 95.7) was #3.

COUNTRY 92-5’s share was up from 32% to 55% in every key demo (see Demo Gainers below), easily giving them the biggest growth in the market in APRIL.
