CITADEL Top 40/Rhythmic WWKX (HOT 106)/PROVIDENCE makes big-time personnel moves bringing in VEZZY PARMESAN from CBS RADIO Top 40/Rhythmic WZMX/HARTFORD and pairing him up with longtime HOT 106 afternoon star DEANNA CRUZ for mornings. Their RISE & GRIND MORNING SHOW succeeds the syndicated BIG BOY'S NEIGHBORHOOD.
The changes don't stop there as HOT 106 PD DAN HUNT reaches out to BOISE, ID and snags IMPACT RADIO Top 40/Rhythmic KWYD (WiLD 101.1)/BOISE night personality DEE GARCIA for afternoons. GARCIA comes across country to fill the spot vacated by CRUZ' move to mornings.
In a press release, CITADEL/PROVIDENCE VP/Market Manager BARBARA HAYNES commented, "HOT 106 is CITADEL/PROVIDENCE’s fastest growing radio station. It is attributable to HOT 106’s success with engaging this young, multicultural, socially active group of consumers. I am looking forward to the remarkable success of these young professional broadcasters."
HOT 106 PD DAN HUNT added, "We are so excited to add new members to the HOT 106 family! The chance to be one of the only stations in PROVIDENCE that will be live and local all day and the only station that will super serve 18-34 year olds is thrilling. Plus, we believe they will be the most innovative and best looking radio personalities in NEW ENGLAND."
