Condolences to family and friends of LOPEZ BROADCASTING founder HUMBERTO LOPEZ, who died MONDAY at 73, according to the CORPUS CHRISTI CALLER-TIMES.
LOPEZ started his career at KCOR-A and KEDA-A/SAN ANTONIO before founding his company, which founded KMIQ/ROBSTOWN-SAN ANTONIO; KHMC/GOLIAD-VICTORIA, TX; KLMO/DILLEY-SAN ANTONIO; and the TEJANO MUSIC VIDEOS channel, seen on low-power TV stations in CORPUS CHRISTI and SAN ANTONIO. He also worked in dubbing voices for Spanish-language versions of English-language movies, and was inducted into the TEJANO MUSIC HALL OF FAME in 2005.
Rosary is scheduled for 7p (CT) WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY at ROBSTOWN HIGH SCHOOL in ROBSTOWN, TX, with services FRIDAY at 10a (CT) at ST, ANTHONY'S CHURCH in ROBSTOWN.
