CURB/NASHVILLE artist RODNEY ATKINS will headline “MUSIC CITY GIVES BACK” with a host of other artists on TUESDAY, JUNE 7th in DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE. JOSH THOMPSON, THOMPSON SQUARE and others will join ATKINS for a night of music to increase awareness, accept donations of needed items and raise funds for tornado victims for the AMERICAN RED CROSS RELIEF FUND through donation collection locations around the event. Donations will be directed through the NASHVILLE CVB foundation, MUSIC CITY, INC. The concert is open to the public and will be held between 2nd and 4th Avenue beginning at 7p (CT). The public can make donations at the event or by visiting www.redcross.org.
ATKINS said, “It is important for us to give to all of those in need. As an artist, I have performed in just about every town that has been hit by the many storms and I feel that this concert is a great way to reach out and help as many people as we can. I know that a lot of people from all over the world will be hitting the streets during this week and we wanted to kick off a week of music with a direction that will call people to action to continue to support the AMERICAN RED CROSS DISASTER RELIEF FUND in any way that they can.”
The concert is presented by WRANGLER, with CLEAR CHANNEL Country WSIX (BIG 98 COUNTRY)/NASHVILLE, CARL BLACK CHEVROLET, CROWN ROYAL, GAC, SENNHEISER and TEMPUS JETS. More details about the event are expected to be announced soon.
