Condolences to family and friends of longtime UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS noncommercial WFCR/AMHERST-WNNZ-A/WESTFIELD-SPRINGFIELD (NEW ENGLAND PUBLIC RADIO) Senior News Producer and "MORNING EDITION" local host BOB PAQUETTE, who died this weekend of an apparent heart attack at 55, according to the DAILY HAMPSHIRE GAZETTE.
PAQUETTE started in radio while a student at UMASS, working at the campus station WMUA, then worked for the old WTTT-A/AMHERST before joining WFCR in 1991.
CEO/GM MARTIM MILLER Ssid, "There are no words to express our shock and grief over the loss of our colleague and friend BOB PAQUETTE. Our heartfelt condolences and sympathies go out to BOB's husband, MICHAEL PACKARD, and to their families, friends and colleagues."
