STONEY CREEK RECORDS and their artist ASH BOWERS are holding a “Homegrown Hero” contest to recognize and reward a local hero who has significantly impacted a community. The online contest started MAY 30th and will end on JULY 1st at Facebook.com/AshBowers.
The contest was inspired by the lyrics found in BOWER’s new single, “I Still Believe In That,” which say, “Our heroes and our idols were homegrown/ Didn't find them on no TV show/ They were our teachers and our preachers/ Our soldier’s, moms and dads / I still believe in that.”
To enter, fans will need to nominate their local hero by submitting a short essay of 150 words or less explaining what makes them a homegrown hero. The prize winning-hero will receive a $5,000 cash prize.
Also, on THURSDAY, JUNE 8th fans can go to www.ashbowers.com to get a free download of “I Still Believe In That” by entering the words CMAFEST in the promo code box. The free download will end on SUNDAY, JUNE 12th.
