Word Entertainment Launches Fan Checkd.In Program

WORD ENTERTAINMENT launched a CHECKD.IN program for artists FRANCESCA BATTISTELLI, CHRIS AUGUST and SIDEWALK PROPHETS. WORD is the first Contemporary Christian music company to use this technology in the genre.
The CHECKD.IN program is designed to give fans a VIP experience with the artists. It gives followers a chance to check in both offline at any artist concert, retail outlet and even favorite spot to eat as well as online at the artist’s website or online store.
“We are excited to partner with CHECKD.IN and offer another outlet for fans to connect with our artists. This platform is a great way to reward fans and give them more up-front access to their favorite artists both online and off," said WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE VP/Consumer & Interactive Marketing JEREMY HOLLEY.
Checking in to the program can be done online or offline using mobile phones and apps such as FOURSQUARE, FACEBOOK PLACES and GOWALLA. It is also IPHONE, IPAD, BLACKBERRY and ANDROID compatible. Points are earned by “checking-in” and are then redeemed for prizes, including 10 percent off in the online store, free music downloads and USTREAM chats with the artists.
In AUGUST 2011, one BATTISTELLI, AUGUST and SIDEWALK PROPHETS fan will be chosen to win a grand prize including a VIP experience at a concert near them.
