CITADEL is launching Top 40 WCXT (105.3 HOT FM)/GRAND RAPIDS, MI later this afternoon following stunting as "REALITY RADIO" (NET NEWS 4/28). The station will program contemporary music and feature veteran morning duo "DAVE AND GERI," who have worked as a top ranked morning show in WEST MICHIGAN for almost 20 years. The duo left crosstown REGENT AC WLHT (95.7 LITE FM) two weeks ago and will begin their morning broadcast on 105.3 HOT-FM in JULY.
"We’re grateful to the entire CITADEL BROADCASTING team for making us feel so welcome at 105.3 HOT-FM. We look forward to waking up with our listeners for the next phase of our career in our hometown of GRAND RAPIDS," stated GERI JARVIS.
105.3 Hot-FM will launch with 10,000 songs in a row. Core artists include DANIEL POWTER, RIHANNA, ROB THOMAS, KELLY CLARKSON, MAROON5, NICKELBACK, JAMES BLUNT, etc.
"We’re thrilled to provide WEST MICHIGAN with another option for listening entertainment. This station anchored by ‘DAVE AND GERI’ continues our commitment to providing WEST MICHIGAN with locally driven content combined with popular personalities," said CITADEL Midwest Regional Pres. MATT HANLON.
