HEARST-ARGYLE TELEVISION first quarter 2006 revenie rose 7% to $174 million on a 6% ad sales boost plus increases in cable retransmission fees and digital media revenue offset by lower TV network compensation. Earnings were flat at 14 cents/diluted share. Radio revenues are not broken out separately in the earnings report.
The company manages Talk WBAL-A and Rock WIYY (98 ROCK)/BALTIMORE as well as owning 25 and managing three more TV stations.
