CRAWFORD BROADCASTING Urban WPWX (POWER92)/CHICAGO has reduced its full-time air staff. According to consultant TONY GRAY,  "The station is making some strategic changes."

TRE, who was doing middays, along with SAM SYLK who had been doing afternoons, are both out. The night slammers have been split with SHAG staying in the night show slot and TONE moving to afternoons.  There will be a morning show change, with the syndicated TOM JOYNER SHOW being replaced by RICKY SMILEY.  JOYNER will remain in mornings on sister station Urban AC WSRB (SOUL 106.3).

According to TONY GRAY part-timers will fill any remaining slots until new decisions have been reached.  JAY ALLAN remains as OM.
