The 'MATS are back, and, of all people, JIM ROME's got 'em: legendary MINNEAPOLIS rockers THE REPLACEMENTS have recorded two new songs for inclusion on the upcoming RHINO RECORDS anthology "DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I THINK I WAS?: THE BEST OF THE REPLACEMENTS," and one of the tracks will debut on ROME's PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS show on THURSDAY (5/4).
The tracks are the first in 16 years for the three surviving original members, PAUL WESTERBERG, TOMMY STINSON, and CHRIS MARS together, joined by JOSH FREEZE on drums. "MESSAGE TO THE BOYS" will be the track making its first radio appearance on ROME's show. ROME is a longtime, vocal fan of the influential band.
