Congratulations to ALL ACCESS friend and radio vet BROCK WHALEY, who is celebrating his 40th anniversary in radio.
WHALEY told ALL ACCESS, "I did my first program on JUNE 24th, 1971, back in the pioneering days of FM Underground radio. I began in TAMPA, and worked at such legendary stations as WFSO, WQSR, WORJ and WSHE. I also worked at WMET/CHICAGO, KAZY/DENVER, WSB-F/ATLANTA, and of course many years at KPOI here in HONOLULU. I now do production and air work at CLEAR CHANNEL's KHVH and KSSK in HONOLULU."
WHALEY's background has included programming, he's won some production awards, "but what I really am is a radioman in the trenches," he added. "I’m a jock. Just happy to still be in the business I love."
