91X Is Changing To "Project KAVA-FM" on Monday

ANGELS AND AIRWAVES will take over the airwaves at FINEST CITY BROADCASTING Alternative XTRA-F (91X)/SAN DIEGO on MONDAY, MAY 8th at 10a. "PROJECT KAVA-FM" will run from 10a-5p with with TOM DELONG, DAVID KENNEDY, ATOM WILLARD, and RYAN SINN playing whatever they want for eight hours with special guests dropping by as part of the on-air debauchery, including NEW FOUND GLORY and other bands performing live. There will be new imaging with no mention of 91x, live tattoing on-air, and an interview with a conspiracy theorist.

91X MD MARCO COLLINS told ALL ACCESS, "ANGELS AND AIRWAVES is a multi-media art project about film, muisc, and radio. We are honoring them by bringing PROJECT KAVA to the airwaves. This is all part of celebrating the local scene and 91x's new attituide of being independently owned. We have to create new programming for people listening to radio in a world with people listening to satellite radio and iPODS."
