The hearing set by the CRTC for the renewal of the CBC's broadcast licenses has been postponed from SEPTEMBER 12th, 2011 to JUNE 4th, 2012. The agency said that the delay was because the QUEBEC ENGLISH-LANGUAGE PRODUCTION COMMITTEE has asked for access to data and because the CBC's operating budget has yet to be established by the federal government.
Licenses subject to the hearing include the CBC's English-language RADIO ONE and RADIO TWO networks and stations, French-language SOCIETE DE RADIO-CANADA's LA PREMIERE CHAINE and ESPACE MUSIQUE networks and stations, and the CBC, SRG, ARTV, RDI, BOLD, DOCUMENTARY, and CBC NEWS NETWORK television operations.
