WTQR Names Angie Ward As New MD

CLEAR CHANNEL Country WTQR/GREENSBORO has promoted morning co-host ANGIE WARD to MD. The station has been in the process of “re-launching and re-branding,” according to PD BRUCE LOGAN (NET NEWS 6/27).

WARD, who has been with WTQR for 17 years, said, “Being MD for a great station like 104.1 WTQR is almost as exciting as working with PD BRUCE LOGAN again. Great Country music will be a key ingredient to the success of a re-launched WTQR, and I'm proud to take on this role. I also want to thank JEFF CUSHMAN and KIM PYLE for their support. Call times will be announced soon so BRUCE can get on to more important things, like his morning STARBUCKS drive through.”

LOGAN added, “The fact she has the skills, the relationships, and clearly knows how to lie about her bosses, proves she will be great in this new position as we get ready to re-launch the legendary WTQR!”
