Condolences to family and friends of longtime CBC radio and TV news anchor LORNE SAXBERG, who died SATURDAY (5/6) in a snorkeling accident while on vacation in PHUKET, THAILAND. He was 48.
SAXBERG had served 27 years with the network, first at the company's THUNDER BAY radio operation and later in TORONTO, where he anchored for the CBC's NEWSWORLD cable news channel, taking a leave two years ago to work at NHK in TOKYO.
