Is ARTIE LANGE making his radio comeback on FOX SPORTS RADIO? The NEW YORK TIMES reports that the comedian and former HOWARD STERN sidekick told comic JOE MATARESE on the "FIXING JOE" podcast that he and comedian (and former CBS RADIO Talk WFNY-F (92.3 FREE FM)/NEW YORK midday host) NICK DIPAOLO will join FSR for a new show starting SEPTEMBER 12th, and that the show might gain a TV simulcast on DIRECTV. LANGE said, "Nothing's been signed yet but we're going to do it."
FSR spokesperson DAN BELL told the TIMES, "That's not true. Nothing against him. We're looking for a more traditional sports-host personality." A representative for LANGE, who left the STERN show in 2009 after battling drug and alcohol problems and a suicide attempt, told the TIMES, "We are excited by the overwhelming interest in NICK and ARTIE. But there is no job to confirm for them at this time."
