APPLE COMPUTER wins and the BEATLES lose in a British High Court ruling on the band's trademark infringement lawsuit. The BEATLES' APPLE CORPS sued APPLE COMPUTER for violating a 1991 trademark deal by launching iTUNES to sell music, but the court has ruled that the service does not infringe on the BEATLES' trademark. APPLE COMPUTER had argued that iTUNES is primarily a data transmission service, and noted that it does not own the copyright to the music it sells.
