$3 Million Buys Salt Lake City Move-In

SIMMONS-SLC, LS, LLC is selling Regional Mexican KNIV (LA FAVORITA, formerly KZNS-F)/LYMAN, WY and four boosters in SALT LAKE CITY, OGDEN, PROVO, and BOUNTIFUL, UT to MAVERIK, INC.'s MAV MEDIA, LLC for $3 million plus an LMA before closing.  SIMMONS is spinning off the station, formerly a simulcast of Sports KZNS-A (THE ZONE), after acquiring it from MILLCREEK BROADCASTING/3 POINT MEDIA in a complicated deal in 2010.  THE ZONE's simulcast moved to KZZQ (now KZNS-F)/COALVILLE-SALT LAKE CITY on JULY 7th.

In other filings with the FCC, FOOTHILLS BROADCASTING, INC. is selling FM translators W229BE/GATLINBURG, TN and W255BK/MORRISTOWN, TN to BRISTOL BROADCASTING COMPANY, INC. for $60,000.

SEVEN RANGES RADIO CO., INC. is selling FM translator W226BE/SISTERSVILLE, WV to the DAILEY CORPORATION for $12,500.  The translator will rebroadcast the buyer's Adult Standards daytimer WETZ-A/MARTINSVILLE, WV.

BLACK MEDIA WORKS, INC. is selling FM translator W214BD/GIFFORD-VERO BEACH, FL to AMERICAN PUBLIC MEDIA's CLASSICAL SOUTH FLORIDA INC. for $25,000.  The translator will rebroadcast Classical WPBI/WEST PALM BEACH.

And CRAWFORD BROADCASTING's KLZ RADIO, INC. has asked the FCC for a Silent STA for KLVZ-A/BRIGHTON, CO as it flips the station to a new format.  The station's Spanish Religion format ended on JULY 31st.

Longport Media Closes On Atlantic City Cluster

GEORGE MILLER's LONGPORT MEDIA has closed on the purchase of Classic Rock WMGM (THE SHARK 103.7)/ATLANTIC CITY, Spanish Tropical WBSS-A (LA FIESTA) and Talk WOND-A/PLEASANTVILLE, Top 40/Rhythmic WWAC (WILD 102.7)/OCEAN CITY, and Oldies WTKU (KOOL 98.3)/PETERSBURG, NJ from ATLANTIC BROADCASTING (as debtor in possession) for $4.2 million.  TOM MCKINLEY and GEORGE REED of MEDIA SERVICES GROUP represented the seller in the deal.
