Abramson Named Exec Dir. At Wall St. Journal Radio, Bell Upped To Partner Businesses VP

WALL STREET JOURNAL RADIO NETWORK Director of Affiliate Relations NANCY ABRAMSON gets a big promotion ot Executive Director of the network as PAUL BELL moves to Vice President for partner businesses in DOW JONES' Consumer Media Group. In her new post, ABRAMSON is responsible for radio news, affiliate relations, and administration of the network’s "WALL STREET JOURNAL REPORT," "DOW JONES MONEY REPORT," and "BARRON'S ON INVESTMENTS." She will also be the executive in charge of production for "THE WALL STREET JOURNAL THIS MORNING" and "THE WALL STREET JOURNAL THIS WEEKEND."
ABRAMSON joined the JOURNAL in 1996 as Radio Marketing Mgr. for "WORK AND FAMILY FROM THE WALL STREET JOURNAL" after serving as Manager of Network Programming for the ABC RADIO NETWORKS and working on-air at pioneering Alternative station WLIR/LONG ISLAND.
BELL's new post gives him oversight of DOW JONES businesses that involve a strategic relationship or partnership model, including radio, THE WALL STREET JOURNAL SUNDAY, and THE WALL STREET JOURNAL HISPANIC EDITION, as well as the company's podcasting initiative. BELL has been with the company for 26 years in various executive positions, including VP. Radio.
