Tom Bolt Dead At 46

Condolences to the family and friends of former LM COMMUNICATIONS Active Rock WYBB (98 ROCK)/CHARLESTON, SC morning man TOM BOLT, who died TUESDAY (8/2) at his home. He was 46.

OM MIKE ALLEN told THE POST AND COURIER that "he hired BOLT after 9/11. BOLT was returning to radio because he realized what a great response radio had been during the disaster. He knew it was the place he wanted to be. By OCTOBER 2001, BOLT was working weekends, and then nights, working his way up to the valuable morning show."

BOLT had resigned from the station, then known as 98X after a stroke in 2008 in order to concentrate on his rehab, ALLEN said.
