MARCUS MUMFORD, the lead singer for the GRAMMY-nominated band MUMFORD & SONS has become engaged to actress CAREY MULLIGAN, reports US WEEKLY MAGAZINE.

The two were childhood pen pals in LONDON, and lost touch long ago, but a recent reunion renewed more than friendship. After five months together, MUMFORD popped the question.

"They're a great couple," a pal told US WEEKLY. "Very sweet."
