Judd Zulgad Named 9a-Noon Host At 1500 ESPN/Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS STAR-TRIBUNE sports columnist and HUBBARD Sports KSTP-A (1500 ESPN)/ST. PAUL-MINNEAPOLIS commentator and weekend host JUDD ZULGAD is exiting the paper after 22 years to take over full-time as 9a-noon (CT) host at the radio station and columnist for 1500ESPN.com.  ZULGAD will be taking over the radio slot from ESPN RADIO's COLIN COWHERD.

"The chance to host a three-hour show each weekday, talking about a variety of sports in the market in which I've spent most of my life, is an extremely exciting opportunity and something I'm really looking forward to," ZULGAD said. "This move is made even more exciting by the chance to write columns and stories for the 1500 ESPN website. In a very short period of time, TOM PELISSERO and others have made it an outstanding site."

ZULGAD joined the station in FEBRUARY as co-host of "SATURDAY MORNING SPORTSTALK" with midday host and fellow STAR-TRIBUNE columnist PATRICK REUSSE.  He will start his new show and column later this month.
