Condolences to family and friends of longtime MONTREAL sports radio host TED TEVAN, who died of a heart attack following hip surgery FRIDAY night (8/12) in MONTREAL at 78, according to CTV affiliate CFCF-TV.
TEVAN worked in radio sales in MONTREAL before going on the air with a racing report at the old CFOX-A in 1972. He hosted "SPORTS RAP" on CFOX and then CFCF-A for several years, and also hosted shows at the now-defunct News CKO/TORONTO in 1989 and at CKWW-A/WINDSOR through 1991, returning to MONTREAL radio at CIQC-A (the former CFCF) and then at CFMB-A. He most recently hosted a weekly late-night show at Sports CKGM-A (THE TEAM 990).
