Billing their new venture as "the world's first audio entertainment strategy company," MERCURY RADIO RESEARCH launches HEAR2.0, a brand development company designed to "connect the dots" between developing technologies, and to anticipate trends.
While MERCURY RADIO RESEARCH will continue to provide perceptual research to radio stations, HEAR2.0 will partner with broadcasters, satcasters, high tech startups, Internet radio, mobile telephony, Wall Street – any company offering wireless entertainment, and the investors who fund them.
"For some time we have provided expert analysis and opinion on the direction of wireless audio entertainment and information industries, including radio and many more. Now we can address the needs of these constituencies directly with HEAR2.0,” said MARK RAMSEY, HEAR2.0 President.
HEAR2.0 recently completed an industry level “perceptual” study pitting radio against iPods, satellite, Internet, and other technologies., segmenting the audience into radio fans and listeners “at risk” and explaining the characteristics of each. The study, which also assess early market comprehension of the benefits of and prospects for HD radio, is available to HEAR2.0 clients now, and will be presented in outline form at the fall NAB convention.
HEAR2.0 EVP HARVE ALAN said, "The depth and richness of the data we have collected and analyzed is unmatched in the industry and will serve as the foundation for our brand development clients across the audio entertainment spectrum.”
