CBS RADIO stations across the country will feature the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS first exclusive radio interview prior to the release of their new record next MONDAY, AUGUST 29th. RED HOT RADIO, as it will be called, will air on select CBS RADIO stations beginning TONIGHT (8/22) at 7p, with a special interview conducted by Alternative KROQ/LOS ANGELES PM-driver STRYKER.
During the program, the band will discuss and introduce songs off their highly anticipated forthcoming album, I’m With You. The video of STRYKER’s interview will be available on select CBS RADIO station websites, along with wall-to-wall CHILI PEPPERS content including past interviews, favorite band moments, and photo galleries.
In addition to the radio special, CBS RADIO stations nationwide will feature on-demand access to five songs off the new album all this week.
CBS RADIO SVP/Programming GREG STRASSELL remarked, "Radio and the music industry have always had a symbiotic relationship, endorsing and supporting one another in creative and innovative ways. RED HOT RADIO is another example of how both entities can work hand-in-hand to promote one another, while offering fans a unique and integrated listening experience."
He added, "CBS RADIO has made a committed effort to showcase our passion for music. It seemed fitting to partner and work in such an intimate capacity with a band as big as the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, who have been a radio mainstay for over two decades."
