Objection Filed To Another EMF/CC Minneapolis FM Translator Move

UNITED AUDIO CORP., owner of Easy Listening KNXR/ROCHESTER, MN, has filed an informal objection with the FCC against the move by EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION of FM translator K249ED/MAPLE GROVE, MN to the IDS CENTER in downtown MINNEAPOLIS, reports NORTHPINE.COM's UPPER MIDWEST BROADCASTING.  The proposed move is one of several that would add more FM rebroadcasts of CLEAR CHANNEL stations in the TWIN CITIES.

KNXR's complaint is the second time the station has battled a proposed translator at 97.7 FM (the first-adjacent channel to its own) on the IDS CENTER, having successfully warded off a similar proposal 15 years ago.
