CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WIOQ (Q102)/PHILADELPHIA's new morning host BOOKER, along with co-hosts LISA PAIGE and DIEGO, have offered an additional $5000 in reward money for information leading to the apprehension of the killer of Police Officer GARY SKERSKI, who was gunned down while responding to a robbery at a bar. Subsequently, listener MARTIN MORLEY, owner of AFFORDABLE ELECTRIC, INC., pledged another $5000.00.
Officer SKERSKI was a respected community-relations officer in the 15th district, and had volunteered to work overtime that night as part of Operation Safer Streets. The 16 year veteran leaves behind a wife and two children.
Q102 will also remember SKERSKI and his family at their already planned "Suds & Studs Car Wash," featuring the men of local nightclub THE CAVE, happening this SATURDAY, MAY 13th from noon-3p. The goal of the car wash is to raise funds to benefit the PHILADELPHIA POLICE DEPARTMENT’s SURVIVOR’S FUND which aids the families of officers killed in the line of duty.
