In the aftermath of yesterday’s news of future restructuring at SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE and the exit of some very talented promo people (NET NEWS 8/25), outgoing COLUMBIA RECORDS VP/Promotions JIMMY RECTOR seems to be taking it in his usual non-worried stride.

JIMBO, a promo vet of many years, started his career many years ago as an intern at CAPITOL/NASHVILLE, rising through the ranks to VP. He has been key to many artist's careers, including COLUMBIA’s MIRANDA LAMBERT.

When reached for comment RECTOR simply said, “Hire BEN STERLING (former COLUMBIA Promo Coordinator), then we will worry about me.”
