BONNEVILLE has rebranded its PHOENIX Sports properties, including Sports KTAR-A (SPORTS 620 KTAR) and rights to ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS baseball, ARIZONA CARDINALS football, PHOENIX SUNS basketball, ARIZONA STATE U. football and men's basketball, the ESPN RADIO affiliation, and the FIESTA BOWL, as "ARIZONA SPORTS," with the "super-brand" headquartered at arizonasports.com.
"In less than five years since its debut, SPORTS 620 KTAR has moved well beyond being merely a radio station, as we now deliver unique sports content via radio at 620AM, online at ArizonaSports.com, video, mobile, text, social media and apps, among other platforms," said BONNEVILLE PHOENIX VP/Market Manager SCOTT SUTHERLAND. "With this move, our multiple sports content channels now all live under a singular ARIZONA SPORTS super brand."
SPORTS 620 recently shuffled its lineup moving morning hosts DOUG FRANZ and RON WOLFLEY to afternoons 2-6p and picking up ESPN RADIO's "MIKE AND MIKE IN THE MORNING" for 5-9a, bumping afternoon co-host JOHN GAMBADORO to middays to team with DAVE BURNS and taking afternoon co-host MARK ASHER off the air but remaining with the website.
"With the unbelievable population growth of the past 15 years, PHOENIX has become a dynamic sports melting pot that demands a strong mix of local and national content, and our new radio lineup provides the best of both worlds," added VP, News and Sports Content RYAN HATCH. "Our goal is to deliver inside access and information, with insightful and informed opinions, on the biggest sports stories of the day on all of our distribution channels."
