CLEAR CHANNEL Urban WWPR (POWER 105.1)/NEW YORK morning man STAR (aka TROI TORAIN) -- one half of superstar syndicated morning duo STAR & BUC WILD -- has been fired for an on-air verbal attack of rival crosstown EMMIS Top 40/Rhythmic WQHT (HOT 97) mixer DJ ENVY's wife and young daughter. The rest of the show's staff has reportedly been suspended pending further investigation.
"POWER 105 finds recent remarks broadcast by TROI TORAIN of the STAR & BUC WILD MORNING SHOW to be wholly unacceptable," stated CLEAR CHANNEL/NEW YORK SVP/Market Manager ROB WILLIAMS. "As of late this afternoon, he is no longer with POWER 105.1 or CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO. We sincerely apologize to those who may have been offended by his remarks."

WCBS-TV/NEW YORK is currently running a story with transcripts of STAR's remarks, which include the DJ saying over the air, "If you didn't hear me, I said I would like to do an R. KELLY on your seed, on your little baby girl." The baby girl in question is the 4 year old daughter of DJ ENVY and his wife, GIA CASEY. STAR also allegedly offered $500 to any listener who could tell him what school the girl attended. "Oh yes, I’ll come for your kids. I will come for your kids," said STAR, who also reportedly remarked that he knew of someone who participated in a gang rape of GIA CASEY.
ALL ACCESS' request for comment by STAR & BUC WILD's syndicator, PREMIERE, has, of this time, gone unanswered. In addition to flagship POWER 105.1/NYC, affiliates of the show include: WUSL (POWER 99)/PHILADELPHIA, WPRW (POWER 107)/AUGUSTA, GA, KBZD (99.7 THE PARTY)/AMARILLO, TX, WPHH (POWER 104.1)/HARTFORD, WMIB (103.5 THE BEAT)/MIAMI, WZBN (BLAZIN' 102.1)/ALBANY, GA, WBTJ (106.5 THE BEAT)/RICHMOND, VA, WQBT (94.1 THE BEAT)/SAVANNAH, GA, WMPW (POWER 99)/MEMPHIS, and KXBT (THE BEAT 104.3)/AUSTIN.
