The ASSOCIATED PRESS is shifting its news filing times to get stories to broadcasters earlier. Beginning SEPTEMBER 6th, the AP will start releasing its "Early Riser" stories at 3a (ET) to be available for earlier drive-time shows.
In addition, a new tipsheet, "10 Things to Know for Today," will be filed at 5a (ET), and more "AP NewsNow" stories will be released in the overnight hours.
"We have been working closely with customers around the world on their needs amid a radically changing media landscape," said AP Deputy Managing Editor TAMER FAKAHANY. "We believe these changes will benefit many of them significantly."
