CLEAR CHANNEL Country WKKT (96.9 THE KAT)/CHARLOTTE OM/PD STEVE GEOFFERIES has named MATT WALKER for middays. WALKER was most recently doing mornings at BEASLEY Country WKIS/MIAMI.
“Our stable of talent is growing again,” said GEOFFERIES. “We’re adding another major-market talent to our team. MATT is not only a great jock, but he’s well rounded in every area of our business.” WALKER replaces KRIS STEVENS, who returns to afternoons. TODD BAKER exited WKKT afternoons in JULY.
“I will miss some great people in MIAMI, but I can't wait to join STEVE GEOFFERIES and his talented team in CHARLOTTE,” said WALKER. I'm looking forward to being a part of the station's continued success now and in the future. Unless they kick me out, I'll be calling CHARLOTTE home for a long time."
Meanwhile, back at WKIS, OM/PD KEN BOESEN tells ALL ACCESS that he is searching for a morning co-host, "Qualified candidates have a big on air presence, a great sense of humor and a great work ethic. You must be able to work with our team of talented personalities and have a minimum 2 years large market morning show experience."
