Tribute Concert To Bill Monroe Planned For IMBA Bluegrass Week

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great BILL MONROE, on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th there will be a tribute concert on the grounds of the RYMAN AUDITORIUM in NASHVILLE at 2p (CT). Performing at the event will be the DEL McCOURY BAND and special guests.
The performance serves as the kickoff to the IBMA’s (INTERNATIONAL BLUEGRASS MUSIC ASSOCIATION) “WORLD OF BLUEGRASS WEEK,” in NASHVILLE from SEPTEMVER 27th-OCTOBER 2nd.
The free outdoor Bluegrass concert, open to the public, is hosted by the FOUNDATION FOR BLUEGRASS MUSIC, a non-profit whose mission is to support public enrichment programs of artistic, educational, historic preservation and literary value. The event is co-sponsored by GAYLORD Country WSM-A/NASHVILLE, The RYMAN AUDITORIUM and the MUSIC CITY MUSIC COUNCIL.
