BIG MACHINE star TAYLOR SWIFT and RCA/NASHVILLE artist CHRIS YOUNG are among the artists who have joined the “Give The Gift Of Music” campaign, which features CMA (COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION) nominated artists talking about how Country music has shaped their lives.
The videos launched exclusively in a special "Countdown to CMA" area on the campaign's website. Previously-posted videos feature LITTLE BIG TOWN, MARTINA McBRIDE, RASCAL FLATTS, DARIUS RUCKER, KELLY CLARKSON and BLAKE SHELTON.
The campaign has also launched a contest asking fans to share how a particular 2011 CMA AWARDS nominee's music has inspired them. The grand prize winner will receive two tickets to the CMA AWARDS in NASHVILLE on NOVEMBER 9th and a thousand dollars.
Last FALL, NARM (NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF RECORDING MERCHANDISERS) and the RIAA (RECORDING INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA) led an effort to re-launch the 30-year old "Give the Gift of Music" campaign.
