Bloomquist Exits WMAL-A/DC For WGST-A/Atlanta

ALL ACCESS hears that ABC Talk WMAL-A/WASHINGTON PD RANDALL BLOOMQUIST is exiting to rejoin CLEAR CHANNEL as PD at Talk WGST-A/ATLANTA, where he will replace the departed BRUCE COLLINS.

BLOOMQUIST's departure follows the high-profile departure of midday host MICHAEL GRAHAM after comments about Islam and complaints from the COUNCIL FOR AMERICAN-ISLAMIC RELATIONS prompted the station to suspend, then fire him. Prior to WMAL, BLOOMQUIST programmed CLEAR CHANNEL's WRVA-A/RICHMOND and JEFFERSON=PILOT's WBT-A-F/CHARLOTTE.

Back at WMAL, JOHN MATTHEWS will be Acting PD while the station looks for a successor to BLOOMQUIST.
