Former New York Jets Radio Analyst, Player Sam DeLuca Dies

Condolences to family and friends of former NEW YORK JETS radio broadcaster and player SAM DELUCA, who died TUESDAY of cancer at 75.
DELUCA played for the JETS in 1964-66 and then, after an injury ended his playing career, joined MERLE HARMON for the team's radio broadcasts, leaving in 1973 to join NBC for network NFL coverage, then rejoined the JETS as radio analyst alongside SPENCER ROSS and, later, CHARLEY STEINER from 1979 through 1986.
The JETS report that a viewing will be held FRIDAY (9/16) at MCGRATH AND SON funeral home in BRONXVILLE, NY, with Mass and a funeral on SATURDAY at OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP in PELHAM MANOR, NY.
