It's Idol Day At CC/Birmingham

It's AMERICAN IDOL day for CLEAR CHANNEL/BIRMINGHAM, AL as the staffs at Top 40/Mainstream WQEN, Hot AC WMJJ, Country WDXB, Gospel WENN and Talk WERC-A were up early to welcome IDOL Finalist TAYLOR HICKS to the CC/BIRMINGHAM studios in his hometown.  HICKS signed autographs for listeners and fans while the CC stations picked up morning TV news coverage. 

This afternoon, AMERICAN IDOL runner-up and RCA artist BO BICE hung out with WQEN staffers and listeners for lunch.  After lunch, BICE dashed with WQEN to the BUCK CREEK FESTIVAL where he accepted the key to the city in his hometown of HELENA, AL. 

About the IDOL fan experience, WQEN Interim PD ZAC DAVIS said, "These women range from 18 to 80 and they are screaming at the top of their lungs!  It's really been great for the community and put BIRMINGHAM on the map for up and coming musical talent.
