Back in AUGUST (NET NEWS 8/1), ALL ACCESS told you that longtime top programming consultant MIKE MCVAY was joining CUMULUS MEDIA as SVP/Programming. MCVAY, who is exiting MCVAY MEDIA, the company he founded 28 years ago and has built into an industry leader with syndication, new media and the recently developed LISTENER DRIVEN RADIO divisions, relocated to CUMULUS' ATLANTA headquarters.
Now, notes TIME OUT CHICAGO's ROBERT FEDER, CUMULUS SVP/Programming JAN JEFFRIES has also officially relocated, moving from HQ to THE WINDY CITY.
Wrote FEDER, "It’s been more than 25 years since JAN JEFFRIES was a Top 40 radio programmer in CHICAGO -- first at the short-lived WAGO and later at WLS-FM (94.7). Now he’s back in the market, thanks to the ownership change FRIDAY at WLS and its parent company, CITADEL BROADCASTING. JEFFRIES has opted to relocate his base of operations from ATLANTA to CHICAGO. Longtime staffers greeted JEFFRIES this week as he moved into his new digs at WLS headquarters."
