MERIDIAN, MS gets a more powerful Top 40, as MISSISSIPPI BROADCASTERS moves Hit AC WJDQ (95Q) to the 101.3 frequency, which is 100,000 watts. LEE TAYLOR has been tapped as PD.
"As part of a purchase agreement, MISSISSIPPI BROADCASTERS purchased WJDQ from CLEAR CHANNEL and moved it back to it's original frequency of 101.3 marking the return of MERIDIAN's Q101," OM SCOTT STEVENS told ALL ACCESS. "The station returns with a Top 40 delivery with KIDD KRADDICK IN THE MORNING, TYLER LEUCHT middays, LEE TAYLOR afternoons and BILLY BUSH at night."
The old 95.1 frequency is now the home of Classic Hits WKZB. WKZB was sold from MISSISSIPPI BROADCASTERS to NEW SOUTH COMMUNICATIONS, and moved from 106.9 to 95.1.
