RADIO ONE SVP/Programming JAY STEVENS wasted no time in naming MARK “McCRAY” HOLLAND. MARK as the successor to JOHN CANDELARIA’s OM position in DALLAS. HOLLAND, known throughout his 22 years in the industry as McCRAY, will assume programming responsibility for Top 40/Rhythmic WBFB (97.9 THE BEAT) and Urban AC KSOC (OLD SCHOOL 94.5).
Previously, McCRAY was OM for CBS RADIO in WEST PALM BEACH, FL at Urban AC WNEW (B-106.3) and Top 40/Rhythmic WMBX (X-102.3) where he also did mornings for the last 10 years.
“MARK is a programming star that I have admired for many years,” STEVENS said. “I am thrilled that he will be joining the RADIO ONE family and I look forward to having him as part of our team.”
“I am excited to come back to DALLAS and to be presented with this amazing opportunity to join the team at RADIO ONE,” said MCRAY. “I am looking forward to working with Market Manager GARY SPURGEON and reuniting with JAY STEVENS on this exciting endeavor.”
McCRAY is expected to begin his new duties shortly. No replacement has been named for him in WEST PALM BEACH.
