LDR Gets Fresh

CLEAR CHANNEL Hot AC WNIC (FRESH 100.3)/DETROIT has turned programming of its night show over to the audience with LISTENER DRIVEN RADIO. Nights host SYDNEY HAWKINS will oversee "U Control Fresh @ Nite" show from 8p-midnight, as DETROIT radio listeners control the station by voting on www.fresh100.com.

"Any station can SAY ‘interactive’, we actually back up the claim," CLEAR CHANNEL/DETROIT OM TODD THOMAS said, "No typical radio B.S. ... our listeners really are deciding every song that plays.  We were less than two hours into it on the first night and had over 20,000 votes -- so yeah, definitely seems like it’s been well-received so far."
