LIBERTY UNIVERSITY, INC. is selling FM translator W253AZ/CREEDMOOR, NC to VILCOM INTERACTIVE MEDIA, LLC for $100,000. The buyer plans to relocate the translator within the RALEIGH-DURHAM market and rebroadcast Talk WCHL-A/CHAPEL HILL.
In other filings with the FCC, FOUR RIVERS COMMUNITY BROADCASTING CORPORATION is selling FM translator W291BD/BLOOMSBURG, PA to COLUMBIA BROADCASTING COMPANY for $10,000.
BLACK CROW MEDIA's RTG RADIO, LLC, licensee of WKAA (99.5 KIX COUNTRY)/WILLACOOCHEE, FL, has applied for debtor-in-possession status, correcting an oversight when the company filed identical paperwork for its other stations in JANUARY 2010; WKAA was included in the exhibits but was inadvertently left off Form 316.
And CALVARY CHAPEL OF TWIN FALLS, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for FM translator K202DN/LAFAYETTE, LA due to interference with a new full-power station and the need to move to a new frequency and site as K249EK.
In closings, EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION has closed on the sale of W275AJ/MUNCIE, IN to BACKYARD BROADCASTING INDIANA LICENSEE, LLC for $45,000, with the buyer using the translator to rebroadcast Sports WXFN-A/MUNCIE; and NANCY L. ISSERLIS, receiver for Classic Hits KAZZ (K-HITS)/DEER PARK-SPOKANE, WA, has closed on the transfer of the station back to the estate of EARLE T. KAZMARK, represented by JOSEPH NAPPI, JR.
And EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION has applied to move W225AP/ST. PAUL, MN across the river to the IDS CENTER in downtown MINNEAPOLIS, dismissing its previous application to move K249ED/MAPLE GROVE, MN to the facility, according to NORTHPINE.COM's UPPER MIDWEST BROADCASTING. The previous application drew an objection from UNITED AUDIO CORP., owner of Easy Listening KNXR/ROCHESTER, MN.
