E-STRING WIRELESS, LTD is selling FM translator K288FI/TEXARKANA, TX to DJSG PARTNERS, LP, an affiliate of ARK-LA-TEX LLC, for $20,000 plus a $9,500 option payment. ARK-LA-TEX has used the translator to rebroadcast Talk KTFS-A but lists Sports KCMC-A (ESPN RADIO 740 KCMC) as the translator's proposed primary station.
In another filing with the FCC, FRIENDS OF CHRISTIAN RADIO is swapping FM translator W266BF/SOUTH BEND, IN plus $20,000 to PROGRESSIVE BROADCASTING SYSTEM, INC. for FM translator W241AD/SOUTH BEND.
The FCC has also granted M&M BROADCASTERS' application to move Country KBEY/BURNET, TX from 92.5 FM to 103.9 FM. The station says that it will "start promoting the upcoming change around the middle of OCTOBER" and may be off the air for a short time for antenna changes. The move is scheduled to be completed in late OCTOBER and will allow BORDER MEDIA's long-pending move of Spanish Sports KXXS (ESPN DEPORTES AUSTIN) from ELGIN, rimshotting the AUSTIN market, to SUNSET VALLEY, TX, with a signal from the AUSTIN antenna farm.
