In NEW YORK syndicated afternoon host MICHAEL BAISDEN is joining with MAMA FOUNDATION founder VY HIGGENSEN to help launch a $3 million dollar campaign to erect a new building for THE MAMA FOUNDATION FOR THE ARTS. Veteran NEW YORK air personality VY HIGGENSEN has dedicated herself to keeping the art of gospel music alive by creating a haven of learning and celebration with the “GOSPEL FOR TEENS PROGRAM.”
Because THE MAMA FOUNDATION needs a larger facility, BAISDEN is joining HIGGENSEN to lead the charge by kicking off the campaign with a personal donation of $10,000. BAISDEN will also serve as an honorary judge for the annual GOSPEL FOR TEENS audition at the DEMPSEY THEATER in NEW YORK.
“On our radio show we’re constantly looking for stories of individuals making a real difference in the lives of our children and letting our listeners know how they can help,” said BAISDEN. “GOSPEL FOR TEENS is an inspiring program building self-esteem in young people and putting them on a path toward success in life.”
“We want to serve as many teens as possible who are interested in learning about this wonderful art form and to do that, we need a larger space,” said HIGGENSEN. “I have my eye on the perfect building and can just see it filled with teens happy to be singing.”
