A former BRIDGEWATER STATE UNIVERSITY student has been booked for allegedly threatening to "shoot up" the campus radio station because DJs wouldn’t play a song he requested, the BOSTON HERALD reports. ALEX FINNEGAN, a BSU grad who once worked as a DJ at WBIM, was arraigned on a felony charge of making a threat with serious public harm and a misdemeanor charge of making a threat to commit murder.
FINNEGAN is alleged to have made several calls to the station to requested a song. When station personnel claimed they didn't have that song, the caller said he would "come in with a gun and shoot up the place."
The ENTERPRISE OF BROCKTON reports that FINNEGAN wrote a letter of apology saying the whole thing was a joke and he was sorry for scaring anyone.
