The COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION has received a STATE OF TENNESSEE PROCLAMATION by Governor BILL HASLAM to celebrate OCTOBER as COUNTRY MUSIC MONTH. It is designed with promotions, events and activities to drive awareness to the format leading up to the annual CMA AWARDS. The award show airs on ABC-TV WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 9th at 8p (ET).
According to the proclamation, "This art form remains quintessentially AMERICAN, uncovering the poetry embedded in everyday life, and celebrating the same traits that inspired those who laid its foundation."
COUNTRY MUSIC MONTH was designed in 1964 to celebrate Country music and bring awareness to different historical institutions and events.
