BNA RECORDS/NASHVILLE promo veteran SCOT MICHAELS will be leaving his post as Midwest/Mountain Promo Director. MICHAELS has been a part of the promotions team at BNA, since it opened its doors, 15-years ago. In a letter to the staff, MICHAELS announced that he was diagnosed with kidney disease and will need a transplant. MICHAELS, who is hoping to have a transplant this summer, said this to the staff in a letter:
"It was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but due to failing health I must leave my position at BNA records. A few weeks ago I was diagnosed with a fatal kidney disease in which only a kidney transplant can cure, a procedure I hope to have done this summer. 15-years, wow! I have loved my job and couldn't ever think about doing something else. For the first time in a long time, life is not about conversions and adds. It's about my health."
We wish the best of luck to SCOT, sending him out many prayers. Contact him at: Kidbna@aol.com. CHERI LYNN MARTIN, who has been filling in for MICHAELS since he went on medical leave, will continue in his former region.
