Condolences to family and friends of former WTOP-A/WASHINGTON news editor and BROADCASTING MAGAZINE staffer WILLIAM R. LOCH, who died after a stroke SEPTEMBER 7th in CHEVY CHASE, MD at 96, according to the WASHINGTON POST.
LOCH became Assistant News Editor of WTOP and then-sister CBS affiliate WTOP-TV (now WUSA-TV) in 1965 and left in the late 1970s after the stations were sold, subsequently joining BROADCASTING (now BROADCASTING AND CABLE). He previously spent 20 years at the YOUNGSTOWN VINDICATOR.
